Benjamin’s goal as a model is to inspire fashion designers to embrace their originality. He believes that the real, authentic designers should determine the trends, and not the other way around.
Benjamin Honan was introduced to the stage in high school where he performed as a solo vocalist for the school jazz band shows. Since then he continued performing as a vocalist and as an actor both on the stage and on camera. Benjamin did not enter into modeling until June 2017 when he was recruited to by a local fashion designer to walk in the Voices Magazine 2017 Awards Show. He was an instant crowd favorite on the stage and was consequently featured as a 2017 top model in the magazine’s next edition.
Since being featured in Voices Benjamin has been recruited to walk in fashion shows throughout the twin cities and has worked with several of the twin cities top fashion photographers. To him modeling is another outlet for doing what he does best, performing, and in his mind it is a performance that should be taken very seriously.
According to Benjamin, “Modeling, when done right, can change people’s view on the world. No matter where someone comes from or what they believe, to witness the cultural expression of fashion can make them believe in something new.”
