Embark on Fun took interest in interviewing Alexander Denning, as he a great example of how you can overcome certain situations you face while you are younger and rise above it all.
To understand the drive of success of Alexander Denning, you would have to understand his past when he was young. Alexander Denning served some time in prison while young. While a young man, we all make some choices that shape our future that we learn from. He was released from prison and started to model. His career has really flourished as a model. He is currently represented on a nonexclusive basis with Privileged Model Management, Caryn’s Model and Talent, and Moore Creative Talent Inc. Since being represented, Denning spoke of some of his recent work of booking jobs such as a photoshoot for Rocco Altobelli’s new men’s product line, walking the runway for the Wedding Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and working alongside Regis Corporation in commercial. Denning mentioned to Embark on Fun, that he will be featured in the November issue of 7hues Magazine for an editorial of some shots from a recent photoshoot. While working within the Twin Cities, he has plans to travel to Chicago in the near future to explore the possibilities of representation.

Tell me about your modeling work if you have any past work.
Some of my most recent work includes a photoshoot surrounding Rocco Altobelli’s, as they are releasing a mens product line at the beginning of the year, and this past month I walked the runway at the Minneapolis Convention Center for tri-annual runway show help by the Wedding Fair. I am to be featured in the November Issue of 7hues Fashion Magazine within an editorial piece showcasing some of a recent photoshoot I did with Privileged Model Management. I am currently working with Regis Corporation on an upcoming commercial as well.
Why did you choose to pursue a career as a model?
Since being released from prison, I felt like every single day I was being asked if I were a model or being told that I should consider possibly becoming one. So, after so many times of being told this…I felt it was only reasonable to attempt to make it happen and see where it took me. I truly feel blessed to be in the position I currently am in, and I have begun to develop a passion for a career in modeling.
What are your goals as a model?
My goals for this career are to become a high fashion model that is represented on both print and runway, as well as an act in both commercial and film.
Why do you want to work as a model?
I want to work as model to show those around me that I can overcome such adversities, and setbacks in life only to come out this much stronger. I have developed a passion through modeling and acting, to express myself through my work. It is all up to me in what I make of all this and who I want to be through it all. I’m truly proud of the process and the results thus far.
What are your greatest accomplishments so far?
Changing my life around for the better is the greatest accomplishment.
How do you define success?
Success is not defined by the things we have, but the things we leave behind once we are gone. That is what this is for- I want to leave a legacy behind that uplifts people to live to their potential and help everyone around them to do the same.
Who is your role model in this industry?
My role model in the industry would have to be Sean O’Pry. I’ve always looked up to his image as one that defines success.
Tell us about your life outside of modeling, who you are as a person
My life outside of modeling consists of work and school. I am currently a full time student, working toward a long educational pursuit of obtaining a Ph.D in Psychology. I plan to work at one of the universities as a professor after my education is completed. When I am not focused on school work, I was as a waiter at one of the restaurants here in Rochester, Minnesota. In my free time, I enjoy art ( doing tattoo’s, paintings, street art, etc.), skateboarding/snowboarding, playing soccer, and spending time with the love of my life- Abigail.
