I’ve been modeling about a year now but every model related activities have been MN based. I hope to advance outside of MN and continue to discover how far my potential and passion can take me.
Why did you choose to pursue a career as a model?
When I was 10 years old, I told myself, I don’t want to be a model. Who would had thought 10 years later, I’d change my mind chuckles. Modeling started as a hobby. But somehow, I find myself wanting to fit modeling more and more into my schedule. Modeling makes me feel good, about myself. I have fun doing it, and enjoy being expressive whether on the runway, during a photoshoot, or just any time in front of a camera. I also chose to pursue modeling because it is a challenging and competitive industry. Especially for models who wouldn’t “fit” the modeling requirement (I am one of them). BUT, I want to go as far as I can and be a role model to represent individuality and diversity.
What are your greatest accomplishments so far?
When all my hard work gets me the results I want, those are my greatest accomplishments.
How do you define success?
To be satisfied with where you are in life.
Who is your role model in this industry?
My role model is Kate Moss. She didn’t meet the requirements of a model (as rumored) but, she didn’t let that terminate her dream of being a model.
Tell us about your life outside of modeling, who you are as a person
I am a proud Hmong American female. Born and raised in MN, never left. I love my culture and embrace it in every way possible. My family is my foundation to everything that I do. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Besides from pursuing a modeling career, I am an undergraduate student at MN State University, Mankato. Education is important to me and continue to set it as a motivation for everything that I do. I’m quite the social butterfly (as been told), and I enjoy meeting new people. I’d love to meet YOU! On my leisure time I like to relax with a plate of good food, music, and be surrounded by loved ones.
