This weekend we will be at the Taste of Chicago!
Anyone else taking a vacation to Chicago this week to see the little city of white tents popping up near the lake?
The Taste of Chicago runs from, Wednesday July 11th through Sunday the 15th!
History of Taste of Chicago
Dating back to the 1980s, the Taste of Chicago is the country’s biggest food festival, with food booths, attractions, and music stages lining the whole of downtown Chicago’s iconic Grant Park.
As you can see, it also doubles as a music festival, with this year’s headliners including Parliament-Funkadelic and The Flaming Lips.
At the Taste, you can find a sampling of all the unique classics Chicago has to offer, from Robinson’s Ribs and Harold’s Fried Chicken to staples like the pizza puff and Vienna beef Chicago hot dog (mustard, relish, tomato, onion, pickled peppers, pickle spear, and poppy seed bun), and a sampling of the best that Chicago’s incredibly diverse Mexican, Chinese, Polish, Czech, Greek, Italian, and many other populations have to offer. There’s nothing else in the world quite like it!
I ate at Robinson’s, which the ribs where so yummy!
The kids loved these Popsicle’s below!
It was really hot out but they had spray mists on every corner which was nice and helpful. Their was also lots of free games for Kids!
